In 2000, Maria Medoro came to the United States with a passion to fulfill her dreams of preparing authentic Italian food for the people of Metropolitan Detroit. A naturalized American citizen from birth, Maria’s family roots originate from Abruzzo, Italy. There she was taught to use and include all natural food products made of nature’s ingredients. Recognizing the splendors of seasonal preparation, Maria’s method of cooking can only be realized by traditional cooking.
For five years, Maria Medoro was the executive chef at Nico and Vali Restaurant in Downtown Plymouth. Maria was responsible for all of the preparation of the naturally cooked dishes and delicacies in the restaurant. Other past working experience includes Laurel Manor in Livonia and the Livonia Bakery.
In today's world of processed and preservative menus, Maria Medoro's philosophy is simple. Cook what nature, not man has created. It doesn't get much simpler than this.
